DinoAI Audit is now in the WordPress.org plugin directory. You install it from Plugins → Add New, save your own OpenAI API key, and get four tools in the dashboard: content actions, SEO drafts, image alt text, and a basic site audit.

What is DinoAI Audit?
DinoAI Audit is a free plugin from WPDINO. It sits in the block editor sidebar, the classic editor metabox, and a Site Audit screen. You start each AI action. You read the result. You copy, insert, replace, or save. The plugin does not write into the post on its own.
You need WordPress 6.4 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, and an OpenAI API key stored in DinoAI Audit → Settings.
Key features
- Content actions. Improve, rewrite, shorten, expand, or summarize selected text.
- SEO drafts. Title, meta description, and keyword ideas from the current post. You paste them into Yoast, Rank Math, or your own fields.
- Image alt text. A draft for a selected image. Confirm it before WordPress saves the alt field.
- Site audit. A score, category bars, and findings from data already on the site. Sampled items link to the edit screen when you can edit them.
- Your key, on your site. The OpenAI key lives in a plugin option. It does not appear in frontend HTML or public REST responses.
- Usage counts. Request totals, module, model, and token estimates stay local. The plugin does not store full prompts or full responses.
- Gutenberg and classic. Sparkle icon in the block editor. Metabox on classic screens. Alt text button in the Media Library.
How a typical pass looks
Open a post. Select a paragraph. Click Improve. Read the draft. Replace the selection if you want that wording.
For SEO, run title and meta on the same post, then copy the lines you like into your SEO plugin.
For images, select an image block or a file in the Media Library, generate alt text, and save after you check it. Alt text needs a vision-capable model such as GPT-4o mini or GPT-4o.
For the audit, open DinoAI Audit → Site Audit and run it. The audit reads WordPress data on this site. It does not send post content to OpenAI. Treat it as a first pass, not a full security, accessibility, SEO, or performance scan.
Data and cost
The plugin is free. OpenAI bills the key you connect. See OpenAI pricing.
Content leaves the site when a logged-in user with the right capability starts an action or clicks Test connection. That payload is the selected text, post title and content for SEO drafts, or the image for alt text, plus the API key. OpenAI Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to data they receive.
You can turn modules off in Settings. You can remove the key at any time.
Getting started
- Install and activate DinoAI Audit from WordPress.org.
- Open DinoAI Audit → Settings → AI Provider.
- Paste your OpenAI API key, choose GPT-4o mini, save, then click Test connection.
- Edit a post. Open the DinoAI Audit sidebar (sparkle icon in the block editor).
- Select text, click Improve, and replace the selection after you read the result.

Site owners who want AI in the editor without a chatbot overlay. Editors who rewrite drafts in place. Anyone who still needs a human to approve alt text and meta.
If you later add DinoAI Audit Pro, extra modules (internal links, schema, bulk AI, more audit checks) hook into the same screens. The WordPress.org plugin stays complete on its own.
